Long-form fiction projects create organizational problems that general-purpose document editors do not always handle well: scenes, drafts, notes, character continuity, version history, and structural revision.

Technical shape

Likely directions include local-first files, Markdown-friendly workflows, scene-level organization, and practical tooling that stays out of the writer’s way.
